Description
Normally the authors of a play derived from one of the great masters would give credit to the original author, in this case, Moliere. Dunlop and Dale, however, with admirable candor, call this inventive comic madness "a long way off from Moliere." Re-set in Naples, but with the mischievous servant Scapino still at the center of things, the play not only drew rave reviews from every critic on Broadway, but it was a major hit on Nanticoke, as well. An inspired production at the Cider Mill Playhouse during the first Winter/Spring season there in 1978 remains a happy memory for those privileged to have seen it. Now, we're happy to report, it's coming back!! With all its madcap energy intact.
