Description
This bulletin is largely concerned with the proceedings of the 1983 CARN Annual Conference. Examples of both action-research by classroom practitioners and more theoretical considerations are included. John Elliott entitled his introduction to Bulletin No. 5 'Institutionalising action-research in schools'; this is a continuing theme in this publication. Other themes emphasised at the conference and included here are case studies of action-research in terms of teaching for understanding, professional development through action-research, and action-research reconsidered (some methodological and theoretical responses).
