House built 1658 by Col. Benjamin Berringer; passed through several owners before being named St. Nicholas Abbey by the Cave/Cumberbatch family, mid-19th century. Now owned by the Warren family. The house is one of three remaining Jacobean-era houses in the Western hemisphere, and is now an historic house museum.
