Description
View toward the northeast corner of the underground art storage and gallery area constructed during the mid-1970s between the Walker Art Building and the Visual Arts Center. The photographer is standing in the original Temporary Exhibition Gallery, looking toward the doors that entered into the art storage area along the east wall. The numbered door was an entrance to a mechanical room. After completion of the 2005 - 2007 renovation the entire underground space will be art storage. This image was provided to the Bowdoin College Museum of Art by the Consigli Construction Company, Inc. of Portland, Maine, the general contractor for the 2005 - 2007 renovation.
