View toward the southwest corner of the Walker Gallery and the entrance to the Shaw Ruddock Gallery on the upper level of the Walker Art Building. The exhibition is "AEGYPTUS: Egypt in the Greco-Roman World," which was shown in the Walker Gallery from February 02, 2017 through July 29, 2018. Conquered by Alexander the Great, Egypt was an important part of the Roman state until the sixth century CE. This exhibition displays artifacts from Egypt as well as from the Greco-Roman tradition to highlight the connections between these cultures and the debt we owe to that ancient land along the Nile.
