Connie Guion graduated from CUMC in 1917. Her residency was completed at the Second (Cornell) Medical Division at Bellevue Hospital. In 1929, she became the chief of the General Medicine Clinic at the Cornell Pay Clinic (which became part of the Out Patient Department when the medical center was formed). She continued at this position until she retired in 1953. She was appointed to the faculty of CUMC in 1929 and in 1946 became one of the first women in US to be appointed a professor in clinical medicine. At the hospital, she joined the attending staff in 1932 and rose to attending physician in 1943. She died on 04/29/1971.
