Publication print mounted on Westchester Division application form paper showing architectural drawing of the Nichols Building at the New York Hospital-Westchester Division.
Nichols Cottage was opened in 1941 for women patients. The architect was Charles Crane. It was built on the site of the women first recreation building and solarium. It was named for Charles Nichols, Medical Superintendent of Bloomingdale Asylum from 1849-1852,1877-1889. It has been recently used for the Child Inpatient Unit and Outpatient Alcohol Disorders Program.
The image was used in the "Society of New York Hospital Annual Report for the Year 1940." There are several Bloomingdale/Westchester prints mounted on application form paper from the Westchester Division that was probably originally a scrapbook. Duplicate available.
