Parker came to NYH as an evening administrative assistant in Nursing Service Department in August 1932. She was appointed department head of Medical and Surgical Nursing in September 1936. In August 1940, she was appointed director of New York Hospital School of Nursing and Director of Nursing Service. In 1946, she step down from the head positions and was assistant dean at the Cornell University-New York Hospital School of Nursing and was appointed associate dean in 1946. She retired in 1951. She lived to be 107 and died on 01/24/1994.
