Description
There is an ovular blotch on the lower edge of the photograph that occured during processing.
Negombo is a seaport and commercial fishing center was contested by Dutch and Portuguese settlers. It was taken by the British in 1796. It served as the terminus for the Dutch cinnamon canal, and the area still produces cinnamon trees. It is also a popular tourist resort.TGN
