The older child looks at the camera, while the baby looks off to their proper right. The albumen print is mounted on cardstock. "Rothwell" is stamped on the mount, likely referring to the San Antonio-based studio of white photographer Isaac Newton Rothwell (1851-1927), previously of Paris & Rothwell.
