Terry Bayard Joyner was born in 1955, and grew up in the Dunleith neighborhood in New Castle, Delaware, and attended the University of Delaware. In this interview, Joyner discusses her childhood, her time at the University of Delaware and the racial dynamics on campus, her role as a charter line member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, and her career in education and consulting.
