Marlene Hurtt-Dunkley grew up in Delaware and was a student at the University of Delaware in the mid 1970s. In her interview, Dunkley talks about her childhood and education, her time as a student at the University of Delaware and the racial environment on campus, the founding of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority in 1975, and her career in education.
