Rectangular length of plain woven fabric comprised of 55 pieces of woven fabric each embellished with embroidery. Natural color ground with light and dark embroidery creating geometric patterns. Skirts like this, worn by Kuba men and women, are wrapped around the body and secured with a belt. Traditionally, men wove the fabric and women did the embroidery work.
