Avro 707A aeroplane, manufactured by A. V. Roe & Co. Ltd at Chadderton and assembled at Bracebridge Heath in 1952.; The Type 707 was an experimental aircraft built to test the delta wing configuration chosen for the Avro 698 jet bomber, later named the Vulcan. ; 707A was the third experimental aircraft made to this design and was built to test at higher speeds than previous iterations.
