Description
Paper-cardboard box containing 4oz of Plasmon, 'pure, soluble, digestible milk protein powder', a tonic drink, made by Plasmon Ltd. of London, 1900-1950. 'The great nerve and brain food'.
Advertised as the mainstay of life , Plasmon was a powdered milk protein drink diluted with water and sold as the great brain and nerve food . A bottle cost one shilling and was one of a number of tonics that could be brought over the counter at local pharmacies.
Plasmon Ltd also created a recipe book - the 'Plasmon cookery book: dainty, nutritious and economical dishes for every household', undoubtedly using their health food products as ingredients.
