Designed by architect William B. Tubby and originally known as the Building Trades building. The Building Trade building opened two months after the Main Building in 1888, and was one of the three original structures of Pratt Institute. Architect Ebenezer L. Roberts designed a remodel in 1897 into a gymnasium with a running track and a swimming pool. Then in 1982, the building was officially remodeled into a student union. The pool was covered, but is still intact beneath.
