All are richly dressed. The men play the flute and drum (left) and the castanet and bagpipes (right)
People of Tanjore. Dancers of the temple. Worship Vishnu. Of no cast, but those from any cast who are not of strict morals dance for hire before kings and chiefs particularly at marriages and all religious ceremonies.
