Capture: Camera: Canon EOS 5D Lens: Canon EF 50mm/2.5 Compact-Macro Format/Resolution/ColorSpace: RAW (CR2) and JPEG at highest available resolution (2744x5516px) using AdobeRGB color space Setup: Copy Stand with white background. Objects lying flat and propped to about 30deg off vertical as needed. Camera adjusted to position needed to capture largest object and not readjusted thereby capturing all medals at consistent scale Lighting: Two Westcott Speedlites – one to right and one to left of object – set at 45degree angle to copystand base and ~2ft from the object. Each speedlite using four Westcott E26 flourescent lamps – 2550 Lumens, 50 Watts, 5500K – and Westcott softbox with white diffusion panel -- one XXX x XXX and one XXX x XXX Exposure: Determined using Minolta Auto Meter IV F with flat diffuser. F8, 1/20sec, ISO 100 White Balance: Custom White Balance set off exposure of grey card under shooting conditions. Capture of X-Rite ColorChecker Passport under shooting conditions used for later Image Processing. Image Processing: Computing: Macbook Pro Retina (Early 2015) running macOS 10.13.6 Software: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC, 8.1 Release, Camera Raw 11.1 Processing Steps: Lens Correction to Lightroom profile for applicable lens Color and Contrast Correction of all captures based on ColorChecker capture and adjustment of Tone Curve to neutralize color based on neutral targets (equalizing of R/G/B channels) and Exposure to set contrast based on white (R/G/B of ~94%) and black (R/G/B of ~12%) targets Minimal Sharpening to correctly render detail (amt 50, radius 1, detail 25, masking 0) Some spot removal using Healing Brush on background only (lint from storage cases made it on to background without being detected at time of capture) Crop to Square Export Derivative as TIFF
