The image looks west to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, showing the Tomb of Absalom, Al-Aqsa, and the southern part of the eastern wall of Jerusalem.
The image has been annotated by the printer and Lazard to show various landmarks. The plate is marked "Nr. XV." and there is a handwritten date of 1866 at the lower right.
Lazard Notes: Lazard dates the photograph to 1865 and notes that "date d'apres Focus East".
